Here at the King William IV we make all our food fresh to order. We are not a gastro pub and have no pretensions to be so - there are no swirls, blobs or foams to be found on our plates, they are outlawed. What you will find is top quality ingredients made in house by professional chefs. We home bake our own treacle cured hams - we have fresh squid and fish delivered daily and our home made calamari tastes a million miles away from what comes out of a freezer bag. Our chilli steak nachos have been a regular for 8 years and we guard the recipe jealously.

As we are an independent freehouse we change the menus constantly, always according to seasons and also on a daily or weekly basis dependent on trends and weather. Our meat is sourced via our artisan butcher who prepares to our chef's specification and where possible all our fruit and veg is sourced locally. We grow our own herbs here on site as well as more exotic items like edible flowers which adorn some dishes. You can be assured that we only buy free range products and we always have vegan choices available (you can even have vegan milk with your tea if you like).

All bookings are for a period of two hours maximum - if a longer period is required please contact the King William IV directly to see if this is possible.
We are perched on the side of a hill with many steps and levels - as such we may not be a suitable venue for mobility challenged customers or parents with prams.

Booking is strongly advised on weekends, best available table will be allocated on arrival.
