Drivers
Please come along and enjoy some of the stunning walks around the King William and Surrey Hills — there are 20 car parking spaces outside 51 Degrees North which are free Surrey Hills Highways parking spaces for pub customers and village use. However, these spaces do get snapped up early on weekends. On busy days a blind eye is turned to those who choose to park on the central reservation, but use this option at your discretion, as the A24 is a bit hairy to cross.
We advise not parking on the pub hill unless mobility impaired as the road is very narrow and it is very difficult to turn around to exit, as the road eventually changes into an unmade track only suitable for 4x4s.
20 minute walk to KWIV via The Parish Church.
(at your own discretion)
20 spaces at the bottom of Byttom Hill, all free public parking. KWIV just 20 yards up the hill.
Cyclists
We have our own cycling rack in our top garden area — to use this access the pub through the top garden gate, half way up the path which runs directly at the side of the pub.
Public Transport
Bus
The 465 bus stops at the bottom of Byttom Hill, 10 metres from our pub. It runs between Kingston, Leatherhead, and Dorking every 30 minutes, with the last service not finishing until midnight. So leave the car at home, and make the most of this great service.
Trains
Our area has three stations, Leatherhead, Dorking and Box-Hill & Westhumble, all within walking distance for those hiking in the area. Alternatively all are on the 465 bus route which stops outside the pub. Trains run every 15 – 30 minutes from both London Victoria & Waterloo, or Guildfuild & Horsham, and also take in Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Sutton & Epsom.
