The King William IV

A Quintessential English Country Pub

Originally Built in 1790 as an alehouse for the workers at the Cherkely Court estate. The King William IV is now an independently run family free house. The “King Bill on the Hill,” due to its elevated position enjoys probably the finest views of any pub garden in Surrey.

Fresh food and real ales await and as does a warm welcome, which is born out of a genuine desire from the owners and staff to please our guests.

We are open Wednesday through to Sunday and serve food all day. Enjoy our cosy bar or take in the fantasic views from our terrace whilst eating alfresco.

We are situated 25 yards up Byttom Hill behind Frascati’s Restaurant on the A24 between Leatherhead and Dorking, Surrey. Parking is free in the public car park.

Bookings are now being taken for parties & events, plus family or friend’s gatherings, for the whole of the December (except Christmas Day). If you are unable to book your preferred date or time via our website please e-mail thekingwilliamiv@gmail.com

It’s important to book early, via our website as our indoor tables get snapped up very quickly.

Please note: we will be closed for a short break 6th-14th November ‘24 for staff holidays.
Eamonn is still available for Festive bookings.
